This site came about because I was trying to find a stud for my Cocker. I wanted to put her with a Miniature Poodle to produce a low to non-moulting puppy that could be suitable for allergy sufferers but I am very wary of selling a pup to allergy or Asthma sufferers unless I'm satisfied they are aware of the risks and I would also like them to meet a Cockapoo over 6 months old to see if they would be compatible.
I was aware of Hearing Dogs for the Deaf through my Deaf Friends and knew that allergies are as common in the Deaf world, as in the Hearing world.
Hearing Dogs for Deaf People do not meet their new owners untill over 6 months old therefore any reaction to the coat is seen straight away.
I had no luck finding a Poodle Stud and decided to try to buy my own.
Enter Rupert
Rupert was already an established stud and Lindsey kindly let him come home with me. I then began researching Poodle crosses and was delighted to find, that in America, they have been breeding Cockapoos for 50 years. I got in touch with Jackie at Camanocockapoos and she gave me some valuable advice and allowed me to use her pictures on my website so I could give people a rough idea of what to expect when the pups grow up.
I will be breeding just one or two litters myself but I'v decided to let Rupert keep up his good work. Hopefully the people who use Rupert will be so very kind and generous and feel the need, as I have, to give something back and donate a puppy to hearing dogs, or any of the other worthy charities, who desperately need clever dogs to help out.
I have been asked why hearing dogs don't just use poodles? The answer is they do, but unfortunately Poodle donations are few and far between. So a healthy compromise is a cross.
Fingers crossed, that in the not too distant future, this site will eventually be filled with Ruperts progeny sitting proudly with their owners. Maybe a few will be wearing the BURGUNDY coats! Who knows?
Lucy my Gorgeous Friend very sadley passed away in September in her sleep. Lucy was just 6 years old! All the family are finding it hard to adjust without her, Lucy will also be greatly missed by others as she was a friend to so many.

I am very lucky to live in Devon near the beach with my husband and 2 children. We are a little animal mad and have 2 horses, Griffin & Perry, 2 cats, 3 dogs, a Blue roan cocker Bitch called Poppy, A Chocolate miniature Poodle called Rupert and a Black Standard Poodle called Lucy who has earned the right to register as a PAT DOG because of her outstanding temperament....................... I work as a one to one with 2 Adults with mental disabilities and challenging behaviour. I have also been a volunteer at my local Gateway Club for over 2 years now and know how important it is for Adults with Learning disabilities to meet people from the local community, they also benefit greatly from cuddles and licks from my dogs. I help to raise money for other charities and believe passionately for Deaf awareness. I have passed my British Sign Language Stage 1 and I'm in the process of starting Stage 2. My 2 children also sign and I hope eventually to go into local schools and teach Sign Language when I pass Stage 2 I would also love to be a spokesperson for hearing Dogs for the Deaf.......................... Rupert is my stud dog he is 6yrs, KC Reg and available for Poodles, Cockers and labradors, to produce interesting, healthy, low to non-moulting puppies. He started as a show Dog with his previous owner Linsey but as he matured he grew too tall. Rupert then became a stud as he passes on his fabulous temperament and gorgeous colour. He came to me just after Christmas and is now firm friends with my other 2 dogs. I keep in regular contact with Linsey who still uses him for her own bitches and is just on the end of the phone for advice or a chat. He has all his vaccinations up to date and has tested negative for CANINE BRUCELLOSIS which he will be tested for every 3 months. This is a precaution that I take for the safety of my dogs, above all they are part of the family. Rupert has been given a complete health check by my vet to ensure he has no medical conditions that would be passed on to his puppies............................. I ask that all bitches must have their vaccinations and a check by their own vet to make sure they are healthy enough to produce pups and that they have no defects that could pass on to their puppies........................... Rupert is is 16.5 inches tall and is a lovely chocolate brown. Most importantly Rupert has a fabulous temperament, he is a born comedian who loves to please and like most poodles he is not snappy. He is devoted to my children and very intelligent. His daughter and her Dam (miniature poodles) have qualified for Crufts 2007 so GOOD LUCK TO LINSEY with SASKIA & PARIS. Rupert is very good with the ladies and knows his job............................ Also Cockapoo pups available in May, I will post pics as soon as they are born. Mum and Dad are family pets so pups will be bought up in house with children, cats and horses........................... Hopefully at least one pup will be suitable for training to become a HEARING DOG FOR THE DEAF.............................. Any new pups that Rupert Sires will be posted here with pictures if possible and information on when the pups will be ready for their new homes ect. It would be lovely, if your breeding your Bitch, if you would be willing to have your details passed to either Hearing Dogs for the Deaf or Dogs for the Disabled, who would then contact you to see if any of your pups could be suitable for training. Go to my Links page for links straight to the charities website and info on how to donate pups or just make a cash donation. Please ring for a chat.....dogs are timewasters so your more than welcome to ask any questions without the worry of tut tutting. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!

If your thinking about breeding from your Bitch, please ask yourself some important questions first.
Is your Bitch worth breeding from?
Does she have a great temprement?
Is she phisically fit and not overweight? (Please confirm this with your vet)
Are you prepared for the traumatic side of whelping?
Are you prepared for unexpected vets fees?
Do you have a place where the bitch can have her puppies thats quiet and away from the hustle of family life?
Can you cope with the mess for 2 months, maybe more?
Do you have homes lined up for your puppies?
If not what will happen if you can't sell all your puppies?
Would you be willing to donate any puppies to any of the charities on my link page?
Are you prepared to pay for vacinations and worming for the puppies?
Have you thought about having the pups dew claws removed?
There are plenty more questions and I'm on the end of the phone if you have anymore.
I wil do my best to answer any queries.
I will provide every litter of puppies that Rupert sires, space on my website with your contact details.
Photographs of all new litters and their dams.
Ruperts pedigree going back 5 generations.
A guarantee of Ruperts health to the best of my vets knowledge and tests.
I do not accept any stud fee until there is a tie when a mating occurs.
If no litter follows I will provide a free mating when your bitch next comes into season.
